'Tis The Season...(to be jolly)

Our little friend Olivia getting into the spirit of Christmas.
I can't believe how fast December has crept up on me!
This time next week we'll be camping at
Hasting's Point,
relaxing by the pool with our good friends and their three kids.
We have been there a few times now and it's so fantastic for kids, heaps to do!
We also love that there is a kids free pool, spa and sauna...heaven!
Better be off to organise myself for another bubby tomorrow.
I love all kinds of photography but for me nothing beats photographing a baby, they are just so innocent and pure and everything about them is just so beautiful.  As hard work as it can be, seeing the end result is worth all the pee and poo in the world!

The tooth, the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth.

Olivia's mum asked me to take some urgent photos of the family as her tooth was wobbly.

No big deal, I hear you say.....

I rest my case.

Welcome to 443 Estrogen Street....

Angel Baby

Boys are found everywhere -- on top of, underneath, inside of, climbing on, swinging from, running around or jumping to. Mothers love them, little girls hate them, older sisters and brothers tolerate them, adults ignore them and Heaven protects them. A boy is Truth with dirt on its face, Beauty with a cut on its finger, Wisdom with bubble gum in its hair and the Hope of the future with a frog in its pocket.

Alan Marshall Beck

I have loved this poem ever since I found it for Brady's birth announcement.  Anyone who has a little boy will understand how true it is!
I'm lucky enough to have two of them and it never ceases to amaze me how one minute they can be running around like banshees and the next they will come up and kiss me on the arm, with a quick "I love you mum".

Let me introduce you to my precious nephew and Godson!!

And The Winner Is.........

I was impressed by how many people wanted little old me to
take their photos.
Even more by the fact that I didn't know half of them!
One of whom is Jacki...hi Jacki!!!

If anyone is interested in how I drew a winner, I put a number against
everyone's name and used my little random number generator
down the bottom of my blog and came up with no.25
(that's you Jacki)

I will be in contact with you soon so we can sort out
a time and place, (or a room if you wanted a boudoir shoot!)

...and just because a blog post is not really fun without pictures,
let me introduce you to our Doug

mmmmmmm.....toe jam

Christening

I had the pleasure of photographing a brother and sister being Baptised the other weekend. It brought back memories from my own children's Christening and wished I had thought of having a photographer! It's such a special moment in time and I'm sure they will treasure the photos forever. Every time I take photos, I imagine some little old lady sitting alone in an old rocking chair looking over all the wonderful memories of her life...It makes me very proud to be able to create some little old ladies' memories. It doesn't have to be an award winning photograph, just a document of the day that lasts a lifetime.
